Jennifer is the founder of Merida Consulting, a certified Economically Disadvantaged Woman-Owned Small Business.
A former broadcast journalist, brand marketer, agency hustler and multicultural strategist, Jennifer's unique professional journey shaped her philosophy and approach to diversity-of thought and inclusion. She founded Merida Consulting in 2018 as means to address the systemic issues she experienced first-hand in workplace culture and creative brand work. Her mission is to advocate for a system of accountability that pushes media, marketers, and employers past default narratives. She has a passion for increasing representation of diverse voices in storytelling, brand creative and media. Her advocacy runs deep for
marginalized groups, working caregivers and mothers.
A curious soul with a cause, she co-founded New American Table, a movement to convene the next generation of iconic food + technology brands in inclusive, paradigm-shifting collaborations; as well as former host of Season 2 Startup CPG podcast, a community for emerging brands where she amplifies the diverse stories behind some of today's youngest brands.
Believing in intentionality, Jennifer named the company after the city where she fell in love with her husband
- Mérida, Yucatán, Mexico.
